My Work Experience
My Journey with Spot (NetApp & Flexera) - 2024-2026
Over the past two years, I spearheaded documentation efforts by acting as the technical lead for the Spot writing team, mentoring writers, and optimizing our publishing workflows. I created and maintained DevOps content using the docs-as-code tools GitHub, Docusaurus, and Visual Studio Code. I've also integrated GitHub Copilot AI agents into my daily routine to enhance and speed up productivity.
Tackling Enterprise Cyber Security at Forescout - 2019-2023
During my time at Forescout, I maintained documentation for their automated cybersecurity product line. I handled everything from the ground up, producing content across a wide technical spectrum—including hardware and software installation guides, system administration manuals, upgrade procedures, release notes, SaaS applications, APIs, and embedded UX microcopy.
A major highlight of my time there was playing a key role in transforming how we managed content, migrating the entire Forescout documentation repository away from legacy Word documents and into a structured, DITA-based CMS.
Beyond the core documentation deliverables, I helped to maintain our internal team procedures library, evaluated and implemented new documentation tooling, and collaborated across departments to streamline company-wide workflows wherever documentation was involved.
Leading Teams and Scaling Mobile Telephony Docs at Starhome/Tomia - 2007-2019
My time in the mobile telephony space included hands-on technical writing and growing into a leadership role across two distinct periods. On the technical side, I maintained the user documentation for mobile roaming applications, delivering everything from hardware/software installations and APIs to online help guides.
As documentation manager, I took over all of the company's documentation collateral while recruiting and leading a technical writing team, managing vendors, and training interns, as well as continuing to write content myself.
One of my accomplishments here was an operational overhaul: I successfully migrated our legacy content into a single-sourced, SharePoint-based CMS. I ended up collaborating directly with the team at SmartDocs, acting as a beta site and providing real-world feedback to help them refine and improve their application for the technical writing market.
Modernizing Databases and Pre-Sales at BluePhoenix Solutions - 2005-2007
At BluePhoenix, I was responsible for creating and maintaining the comprehensive user documentation for our database modernization tool suites, ensuring complex migration paths were easy for enterprise clients to follow.
Beyond core product docs, I handled pre-sale collateral. I regularly drafted and managed detailed customer proposals, Proof of Concept (POC) documentation, and technical questionnaires that helped the sales team build trust and win deals.
Deep Diving into Directory Services at Nuance - 2004-2005
While at Nuance, I managed the documentation for our directory services products. I created and maintained administrator guides and deployment documentation that helped enterprise clients keep their user management systems running smoothly.
Scaling Wireless Broadband Documentation at Alvarion - 2002-2004
At Alvarion, I managed the documentation for our wireless broadband product line. I worked closely with the engineering teams to create and maintain high-quality technical content that covered both the hardware and software sides of deployment, ensuring telecom providers and field technicians could roll out broadband networks smoothly.
From Technical Writing to Release Management at Nice Systems - 1996-2002
My time at Nice Systems spanned two distinct chapters, giving me the unique opportunity to bridge the gap between technical content creation and strategic product operations.
I started out as a Technical Writer, diving deep into digital audio recording products. I handled everything from hardware and software installations to online help and troubleshooting guides. A major part of my role was authoring complex integration manuals that mapped out how Nice products connected and communicated with third-party telephony equipment.
That deep product knowledge naturally opened the door to my second role as an Internal Product and Release Manager. In this position, I moved into the product lifecycle—participating in marketing requirements and release planning forums, leading cross-functional matrix teams to execute beta programs, and driving end-to-end General Availability (GA) releases. I also focused on operational efficiency, establishing and implementing several company-wide processes to streamline how we brought products to market.
